Will I Be Employed Or Self-Employed?

We are currently recruiting directly employed experienced cleaners to our team. We may open up positions to contractors again in the future.

However, if you do apply for a role which states "Contractor", then this will indicate you are applying for a self-employed position. This will be fully explained to you prior to you taking on any work and after 3 months you may automatically qualify and be offered direct employment.

Being a contractor comes with many benefits you may not have as a direct employed cleaner. These include but are in no way limited to being able to choose the jobs you take on, where and at what time. We won't deduct any taxes from your pay as you'll complete your own self-assessment at the end of the year. It also allows you to take on other work with other similar companies or privately if you choose to do so.

You can find out more about being self-employed on the UK government website here

Our Directly Employed Cleaners

Once you join our team as an employee, you'll however have other benefits such as holiday pay and pension contributions paid for you. You'll also be able to take on other roles within the company on a permanent or temporary basis. This could include things such as becoming a supervisor, a manager or involved in the recruitment and training process.

Depending on your role, you may be offered a full-time or part-time permanent or temporary position. Due to the nature of our work, we may set a minimum guarantee on the number of hours work you receive each month. For those who are full-time employees, you will usually be expected to work 37.5 hours per week as standard and where cleaning work is not available, other important tasks may be given to you to help grow the company.
